【摘要】:Vaporpressureisanimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquids.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethevaporpressureat37.8x00B0;C(100x00B0;F)ofpetroleumproductsandcrudeoilswithinitialboilingpointabove0x00B0;C(32x00B0;F).Vaporpressureiscriticallyimportantforbothautomotiveandaviationgasolines,affectingstarting,warm-up,andtendencytovaporlockwithhighoperatingtemperaturesorhighaltitudes.Maximumvaporpressurelimitsforgasolinearelegallymandatedinsomeareasasameasureofairpollutioncontrol.Vaporpressureofcrudeoilsisofimportancetothecrudeproducerandtherefinerforgeneralhandlingandinitialrefinerytreatment.Vaporpressureisalsousedasanindirectmeasureoftheevaporationrateofvolatilepetroleumsolvents.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforthedeterminationofvaporpressure(seeNote1)ofgasoline,volatilecrudeoil,andothervolatilepetroleumproducts.1.2ProcedureAisapplicabletogasolineandotherpetroleumproductswithavaporpressureoflessthan180kPa(26psi).1.3ProcedureBmayalsobeapplicabletotheseothermaterials,butonlygasolinewasincludedintheinterlaboratorytestprogramtodeterminetheprecisionofthistestmethod.1.4ProcedureCisformaterialswithavaporpressureofgreaterthan180kPa(26psi).1.5ProcedureDforaviationgasolinewithavaporpressureofapproximately50kPa(7psi).Note18212;Becausetheexternalatmosphericpressureiscounteractedbytheatmosphericpressureinitiallypresentinthevaporchamber,theReidvaporpressureisanabsolutepressureat37.8x00B0;C(100x00B0;F)inkilopascals(pounds-forcepersquareinch).TheReidvaporpressurediffersfromthetruevaporpressureofthesampleduetosomesmallsamplevaporizationandthepresenceofwatervaporandairintheconfinedspace.1.6Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoliquefiedpetroleumgasesorfuelscontainingoxygenatedcompoundsotherthanmethylt-butylether(MTBE).Fordeterminationofthevaporpressureofliquefiedpetroleumgases,refertoTestMethodD1267orTestMethodD6897.Fordeterminationofthevaporpressureofgasoline-oxygenateblends,refertoTestMethodD4953.Theprecisionforcrudeoilhasnotbeendeterminedsincetheearly1950s(seeNote3).TestMethodD6377hasbeenapprovedasamethodfordeterminationofvaporpressureofcrudeoil.IP481isatestmethodfordeterminationoftheair-saturatedvaporpressureofcrudeoil.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSections7and18,and12.5.3,15.5,21.2,A1.1.2,A1.1.6,andA2.3.
