【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedforbothwoodandmetalbondedspecimens.Thetestmethodprovidesameanstocompareflexuralpropertiesbetweenassemblies.Thedataarereducedtoacomparablebasisbymeansoftheformulasgivenin11.1and11.2.Itisrecognizedthattheseformulasdonotapplyrigidlytotestsmadeinthemannerdescribedinthismethod,butserveonlytoreducethedatatoacomparablebasis.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecomparativepropertiesofeithermetalorwoodadhesivebondedassemblieswhensubjectedtoflexuralstresseswithstandardshapespecimensandunderdefinedconditionsofpretreatment,temperature,relativehumidity,andtestingtechnique.Thetestspecimenandtestingtechniqueweredesignedtodevelopalargeportionofshearforcesbetweenthelaminaeofthetestpiecewhentheloadisapplied,ratherthantoreduceshearstresstoaminimumasisdoneinotherASTMtestmethodsforflexuralproperties.Thismethodisnotapplicabletoassembliesmadewithnonrigidadherends.Thedataobtainedarenotsuitablefordesignwork.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationpurposes.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
