【摘要】:ThispartofISO13641specifiesascreeningmethodforassessingthepotentialtoxicityofsubstances,mixtures,surfacewaters,groundwatersandwastewaters,effluents,sludges,orotherenvironmentalsamplesbydeterminingtheproductionofbiogas(carbondioxideandmethane)frommuds,sedimentsandotheranaerobicenvironmentswithlowbiomassconcentration.Thegrowthrateofanaerobicbacteriaismuchlower,comparedwiththatofaerobicmicroorganisms.Forthisreason,thetestperiodsinanaerobicmethodsarelongerthaninthosewithaerobicbacteria.Theconditionsofthistest(forexampleamountofinoculumandsubstrateinthetestbottles)wereadoptedtoadefinedtestperiodoverseveraldays.Theinoculumcanbecollectedfromanaerobicsedimentsorfromlarge,orlaboratoryscale,anaerobicdigesters.Thismethodisapplicabletomaterials,solubleorinsolubleinwater,includingvolatilechemicals(seeReference[1]intheBibliography).NOTESpecialcareisnecessarywithcompoundsoflowwater-solubility,andinthesecases,seeforexample,ISO10634.ForgeneralinformationonbiotestingseeISO5667-16.Informationobtainedbythismethodcanbehelpfulpriortoanaerobicbiodegradabilitytestingwithlowinoculummassconcentrationsandforestimationsofthepotentialeffectsofchemicalsandwastewatertoanaerobicprocessesinhabitatscharacterizedbyarelativelylowanaerobicbiomass,forexamplenaturalsedimentsandsoils.
