【摘要】:KnowledgeoftheperoxidecontentofuncuredPEandEVAsamplesisrequiredtoregulatethedegreeofcrosslinkinginthecuredproduct.Asenduseapplicationsofthecuredproductcanbeaffectedbyresidualamountsoftheperoxideoritsdecompositionproductsx2014;dimethylbenzylalcoholandacetophenonex2014;knowledgeoftheselevelsisalsoimportant.Thistestmethodprovidesaprocedurefordeterminingtheconcentrationofthesecompounds.AmethodfortheHPLCassayofdicumylperoxideisdescribedinTestMethodE755.1.1Thistestmethodcoversandisapplicabletothedeterminationofdicumylperoxideandthedecompositionproductsdimethylbenzylalcoholandacetophenoneincuredanduncuredpolyethylene(PE)andethylenevinylacetate(EVA)resins.Theseuncuredpolymersnormallycontainfrom1to2%dicumylperoxide,whereastheresidualperoxidelevelinthecuredpolymersisusuallylessthan0.1%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3ReviewthecurrentMaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS)fordetailedinformationconcerningtoxicity,firstaidprocedures,andsafetyprecautions.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsaregiveninSection7.
